One weekend. Two films. That's the challenge we set ourselves. With two film units we tried something that wasn’t done before within the 48HFP competition. We created two short films simultaneously. Both films shared the same story world, cast and location. Together with another screenwriter and director, we developed the script. But since the productions ran simultaneously we had to divide the films, I wrote and directed the adventure film Tom’s Treasure Hunt.
The films tell us a story about two families that meet at a camp for persons with a disability. Tom's Treasure Hunt tells the story two kids with a disability, where Tom shows Vera that camp isn't so bad. While the film Op Zoek shows how the brother of Vera and sister of Tom deal with taking care of their siblings.
