Winner Best VR Film
Unjust is a detective short where two people are being kept hostage by a desperate man, while a team of detectives races against the clock to find the kidnapper.
Since creating two traditional short films for the 48 Hour Film Project proved successful, it was time for another challenge. Not only was it the first time directing a VR film, but it was also my first time co-directing. Together with Leon van Oord, who works for a VR company, I co-wrote and co-directed this short.
On set I was mostly concerned with the cast and their mise-en-scene, while Leon focused on the positioning of the camera and the more technical aspect of the shoot. I got to experience a very interesting and exciting new way of filmmaking, that I hadn't tried before. This resulted in an exciting detective story that won us the prize for Best VR Film in the competition.
